The second point is that with my previous ISP the download speeds...the same line and set up...around 24Mps. The lady on the other end seemed nice but in the middle of her saying she was going to test my line the phone just cut off. No point ringing customer service as there is no service. This means high levels of lag and dropping of connection.
So, either there has been a cataclysmic disaster with EE.....which means they should have repaired it OR there is a policy of constricting download speeds to existing customers. Tried calling back and apparently it's now out of hours. So slow for emails and so slow for downloading anything. Cannot understand how anyone can think this is good broadband. Speeds have averaged at 10 mb/s when I should get up to 38, and a MINIMUM level of 23.
They want me to go to fibre...when they sold me this package, EE assured me that my downloads would be at least as fast as my previous provider (SKY). EE broadband cannot support more than one device at a time and in fact CANNOT EVEN SUPPORT ONE DEVICE! Impossible to stream and cannot even get emails to download properly. Incredibly slow download speeds of little more than 1Mb/s make this broadband barely useable. It's customer services department is also utterly incapable of doing anything about it. Each time I called, they apologized for the mistake BUT never send my money back. It is a disgusting company to have any dealings with.
The moment this contract expires I am leaving for good. The only difference with my setup is EE as the ISP and the router they provided. They’re using a 3rd company openresch sent engineer to my house teicr now still could install the broadband.. EE try to deny any claim of bad service by quoting a speed test they do in the middle of the night that is slightly above the lower limit. Refused that there was an issue until I said that I can e-mail them evidence of the poor connection.
Never have I had such a slow download speed since the days of narrowband in the nineties. No way to get any speed (around 1.5mbps most of the time). Everything else (my line, computer, phone etc) are exactly the same. No one can receive the amount of complaints for this garbage and not be able to do anything about it. inbetween there wa ssuppose to be a specialist coming but because of their miscommunication that did not happen. But without the specialist coming the engineer can’t do nothing ... Then after the phone call with the rude customer service person, I was kicked off the internet completely.
I can't comment on customer service as we've had no reason to contact them. KEEP AWAY FROM EE IT IS ONE SCAM COWBOY COMPANY!!!! Service apeed was rubbish but i used it lightly, but customer services is atrocious. They also lied on the phone saying they spoke to me about the contract changes which they never did.
It's easy to leave negative reviews; if only everyone who had a good experience left a review it may be easier to get a true balanced review on all the broadband providers out there. Chronic slow speeds and chronic so called Customer Service. Terrible I was promised great things and it's worse than ever tried the technical team was on phone for half an hour nothing changed I'm wondering whether we could go for breach of contract as I really do not want to stay with EE a moment longer !!!!
